Janet Chapman is a passionate birder with over 30 years' experience in the local area. She enjoys sharing her knowledge with others, including beginners.
Kate Daniel lives on box-ironbark country in NE Victoria, was a coordinator for one of the Regent Honeyeater releases in Chiltern NP and is a life-long avid birder.
Our half-day tours are ideal for those with limited time, or with a particular bird or area in mind. Expect to see 40-50 species depending on the season. Tours run from 8.00am - 12.00pm, with morning tea provided. Adults: $125, Children (8-14): $99. Minimum 2 people.
Visit key sites throughout Chiltern-Mt Pilot National Park looking for honeyeaters, parrots, speckled warblers, treecreepers, robins and more.
Visit Wonga Wetlands and the Yindyamarra Sculpture Walk in Albury looking for kingfishers, ducks, crakes and rails (in season), honeyeaters, pardalotes and more.
Visit a number of sites around Glenrowan looking for turquoise parrots, honeyeaters and seasonal specialties including painted honeyeaters or robins.
These mix & match courses will teach you the basics of bird-watching. In Part 1 you will learn how to get the best out of your binoculars, simple tips for identifying birds in the field and how to use field guides and birding apps.
Part 2 concentrates on identifying difficult birds, learning how to use bird calls to find and identify birds and how to record your data as a citizen scientist.
For those with more time or a strong interest in a particular region, these full-day tours include morning tea, lunch at a local cafe (at own cost), and offer a range of habitats. Expect to see 60-80 species depending on the season. Tours run from 8.00am - 3.30pm. Adults: $250. Children (8-14): $198. Minimum 2 people.
Visit a range of different habitats including some hidden gems throughout Chiltern-Mt Pilot National Park looking for honeyeaters, parrots, water birds, speckled warblers, treecreepers, robins and more.
Visit Wonga Wetlands, Yindyamarra Sculpture Walk, and key local birding sites (locations will vary according to the season).
Glenrowan and the nearby Warby Ranges offer some great bush birding sites. Top that off with a visit to Winton Wetlands for waterbirds and birds of prey.

Our tours usually involve some walking. However we can cater for all levels of fitness. Please let us know if you have any mobility or health issues and we will work with you to make sure the tour meets your needs.
We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. Don't forget to bring your binoculars (we do have some available to borrow if needed - just let us know in advance).
